Ariane 5 puts U.S. telecom satellite in orbit

Rocket: Ariane 5 ECA; Payload: TerreStar-1; Date: 1 July 2009, 1752 UTC; Site: Kourou, French Guiana. The rocket deployed TerreStar-1 into geostationary transfer orbit 26 minutes after lift-off.
