Because of a slowing economy, many families are staying in on the weekends instead of going out. If you think about it, you can easily pay $100 or more to go out to dinner and take in a movie if you have four people in your family. This has actually been good for satellite TV companies like Direct TV and Dish Network, as people are reluctant to give up their entertainment at home.
