Falcon 9 carried small satellite, big cheese

The U.S. Army’s Space and Missile Defense Command – Operational Nanosatellite Effect, or SMDC-ONE, launched on the Falcon 9/COTS Demo 1 mission as a secondary payload. The primary payload for this flight was the SpaceX Dragon spacecraft – which itself carried a payload, too.
