During the holidays, many Americans purchase DVDs, blu-ray discs, and CDs as presents and stocking stuffers for their friends and family members. They seem like safe gifts to give because they’re generally not too expensive, and everyone enjoys a good movie or song. Yet, the reality is that each of those different forms of entertainment is somewhat dated, and people no longer want to fill their homes with extra items they don’t need. Years ago, it was popular to build up a large library of VHS tapes or DVDs, but people have begun to realize that those items aren’t really necessary and that they just take up extra space.
