Fourth Ariane 5 launch in 2013 successful

Rocket: Ariane 5 ECA; Payload: Eutelsat-25B/Es’hail 1, GSAT-7; Date: 29 August 2013, 2030 UTC; Launch site: Kourou, French Guiana. The satellites were accurately injected into their transfer orbits approximately 27 and 34 minutes after launch, respectively.

Space laser to prove increased broadband possible

When NASA’s Lunar Laser Communication Demonstration (LLCD) begins operation aboard the Lunar Atmosphere and Dust Environment Explorer (LADEE) mission managed by NASA’s Ames Research Center, it will attempt to show two-way laser communication beyond Earth is possible, expanding the possibility of transmitting huge amounts of data.
