LEOcloud to offer space edge cloud services on Orbital Assembly space stations

LEOcloud and Orbital Assembly announced they have established a partnership in which LEOcloud will enable public cloud edge computing services hosted on Orbital Assembly’s Gravity Ring and Pioneer Stations.

NGC completes hypersonic and ballistic tracking space sensor CDR

Northrop Grumman Corporation recently completed the critical design review of the Hypersonic and Ballistic Tracking Space Sensor (HBTSS) prototype for the U.S. Missile Defense Agency (MDA). The review establishes the company’s technical approach for precise, timely sensor coverage to defeat ballistic and hypersonic missiles.

Ball Aerospace delivers IXPE for launch

NASA’s Imaging X-Ray Polarimetry Explorer (IXPE), built by Ball Aerospace, safely arrived last week at Cape Canaveral in Florida, USA. A collaboration between Ball, NASA, and the Italian Space Agency (ASI), IXPE is an astrophysics observatory set to launch from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in December.

GOES-T, built by Lockheed Martin, moves closer to launch

The next-generation Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellite (GOES)-T successfully arrived at Kennedy Space Center, Florida, to begin launch preparations.

China’s Mars orbiter enters remote-sensing orbit

China’s Mars orbiter entered its remote-sensing orbit around Mars on Monday, starting the global remote-sensing exploration of the planet, the China National Space Administration (CNSA) said.

European software-defined satellite starts service

Virgin Orbit sign MOU with ANA Holdings for 20 LauncherOne flights

Virgin Orbit has entered into a memorandum of understanding with ANA Holdings, the owners of Japan’s largest airline, to procure twenty flights of the LauncherOne rocket and to lead the effort to provide funds and support for those orbital missions to launch from Japan’s Oita Prefecture.
