Close encounters of the SpaceX kind

China accused the United States of irresponsible and unsafe conduct in space over two close encounters between the Chinese space station and satellites operated by SpaceX. The country’s Tiangong space station had to manoeuvre to avoid colliding with one Starlink satellite in July and with another in October, according to a note submitted by Beijing to the United Nations space agency this month.

Spainsat NG programme successfully passes Critical Design Review

The Spainsat NG programme has successfully passed another important milestone, the critical design review (CDR) of the payload and the complete satellite, including the CDR elements of the Pacis 3 partnership project with the European Space Agency (ESA). The review was declared successful after verifying the good progress of the tests performed on the development models of the X-band payload.

Inmarsat ORCHESTRA hits first milestone in space with new LEO satellite

L3Harris completes final U.S. Missile Defense Agency satellite design milestone

L3Harris Technologies completed the final major design milestone on the U.S. Missile Defense Agency’s (MDA) Hypersonic and Ballistic Tracking Space Sensor (HBTSS) programme Phase IIb On-orbit Prototype Demonstration and has already begun building the demonstration satellite.

Hyperspectral satellite EnMAP ready for orbit
