OCO accident summary released; no root cause identified

A NASA panel that investigated the unsuccessful launch of the Orbiting Carbon Observatory, or OCO, on 24 February has completed its report but could not pinpoint the root cause of the failure.

A Little Indulgence

Everyone does something that is not good for them. No matter how intelligent or well informed a person may be, they will undoubtedly engage in some type of activity that they know is not good for them. Whether it is eating an entire pint of ice cream or buying an obscenely expensive piece of clothing, everyone gives in to some kind of guilty pleasure every now and then.

Intelsat orders four Boeing 702B models

Intelsat Ltd. has selected Boeing to build four telecommunication satellites that will refresh and add new capacity to Intelsat’s global satellite fleet. This contract is the first order for Boeing’s 702B satellite series, which has been in the works for some seven years.
