Iran claims to have launched its second satellite

Rocket: Safir; Payload: Rasad 1; Date: 15 June 2011, time unknown; Launch Site: unknown, Iran. Iran’s state TV said the locally produced satellite was launched successfully. There was no immediate independent confirmation.

GMES receives money for initial operations
