Y1A communications satellite handed over to Yahsat

After the successful completion of in-orbit testing the satellite Y1A, was officially handed over to Yahsat on 13 June 2011.

MT Aerospace to supply 81 propellant tanks for Iridium NEXT

MT Aerospace Satellite Products has been awarded a contract by Thales Alenia Space for the manufacture of 81 propellant tanks for the Iridium NEXT satellite programme.

Dawn to go into orbit around Vesta next month

NASA’s Dawn spacecraft is on track to begin the first extended visit to a large asteroid. The mission expects to go into orbit around Vesta on 16 July and begin gathering science data in early August. Vesta resides in the main asteroid belt and is thought to be the source of a large number of meteorites that fall to Earth.
