Update: Russia launches another Kosmos military satellite

The Kosmos 2472 military satellite launched on 27 June is likely an imaging satellite of the Kobalt M type.

Russia gives up GEO-IK-2

Russian Space Forces have declared the GEO-IK-2 satellite a total loss. The spacecraft ended up in a useless orbit after launch aboard a Rokot/Briz-KM in February 2011.

MDA receives amendments to Radarsat constellation design phase

MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates Ltd. has signed three contract amendments with the Canadian Space Agency totalling C$10.4 Million (CAD), for the Design Phase of the Radarsat Constellation Mission.
