Isotropic Systems’ terminal completes multi-link trials across all orbits

Isotropic Systems announced that it has completed all tests demonstrating that its multi-link terminal can connect to satellites in LEO, MEO and GEO orbits, simultaneously. The tests ensured continuous, full aperture performance across all links to multiple orbits, enabling full multiplication and aggregation of data connectivity.

Eutelsat and OneWeb sign global distribution partnership

Eutelsat Communications and OneWeb announced a global, multi-year Distribution Partnership Agreement (DPA) for OneWeb capacity. The agreement paves the way for Eutelsat to commercialise OneWeb services across key verticals including Maritime, Aviation, Enterprise, Telcos and Government.

Boeing to build Nusantara Lima Satellite

Boeing is to build the Nusantara Lima Satellite, which will be launched in 2023 and will augment the capacity of SATRIA-1, for Indonesia’s PSN Group. With these 2 VHTS, PSN Group will be one of the biggest satellite capacity providers in Asia with approximately 330 Gbps covering Indonesia and its surrounding areas.

X-Bow Systems emerges from stealth, unveiling 3D printed Solid rocket motors

X-Bow Launch Systems Inc. (X-Bow) announced that it has exited stealth mode. X-Bow (pronounced “cross-bow”) brings to market its solid fuel rocket motors, along with a suite of small launch vehicles for both orbital and suborbital launch services.

Russia launches military comsat

Rocket: Soyuz 2.1-a/Fregat; Payload: Meridian-M No. 20L; Date: 22 March 2022, 1248 UTC; Launch site: Plesetsk, Russia. The satellite was deployed into a 974 km × 39,767 km × 62.83 degrees Molniya orbit nine minutes after lift-off.

Tomorrow.io announces plan for multi-sensor weather satellite constellation

The Tomorrow Companies Inc. (“Tomorrow.io”) announced plans to introduce microwave sounders as an additional sensor to its planned satellite constellation. The addition of microwave sounders to the company’s constellation of radar-equipped weather satellites would create the first commercial multi-sensor weather satellite system owned and operated by a private company.

E-Space to launch demonstration satellites in Q2 with Rocket Lab

E-Space announced it will launch its first demonstration satellites in the second quarter of 2022 to validate the systems and technology for its sustainable satellite system. Three demonstration satellites, designed and built in-house by E-Space, will launch aboard Rocket Lab’s Electron rocket from Launch Complex 1 on New Zealand’s Mahia Peninsula.
