Rocket Lab USA, Inc announced it has been awarded a contract to deploy an entire satellite constellation across five dedicated Electron missions for Kinéis, a global Internet-of-Things (IoT) connectivity provider.

Isar Aerospace announced that it has entered into a firm launch service agreement with the NewSpace startup OroraTech to launch the company’s satellites into space. OroraTech’s nanosatellites are geared towards tackling the global wildfire and climate crises with satellite-based wildfire detection and monitoring services.

Eutelsat Communications confirmed the closing of its US$550 million equity investment in OneWeb announced on 27 April 2021. Subject to completion of the subsequently announced investments in OneWeb by Bharti and Hanwha, Eutelsat will hold a 17.6% stake.

Arianespace has, jointly with NASA and ESA, defined 18 December 2021 as the targeted launch date for Flight VA256. This third Ariane 5 launch of the year 2021 will orbit NASA’s James Webb Space Telescope from Europe’s Spaceport in French Guiana. This will be the third Ariane 5 launch of the year, following VA254, which was successful on 30 July 2021, and VA255, which is scheduled for 22 October 2021.

Kymeta and OneWeb announced the successful testing of the Kymeta u8 based LEO terminal with OneWeb’s LEO satellite constellation.

Hughes Network Systems, LLC announced that Eutelsat Communications selected the Hughes JUPITER System Series 3 to enable services on the new Eutelsat KONNECT VHTS (Very High-Throughput Satellite).
