Viasat to acquire Inmarsat

Viasat Inc. and Inmarsat announced they have entered into a definitive agreement under which Viasat will acquire Inmarsat in a transaction valued at US$7.3 billion, comprised of US$850.0 million in cash, approximately 46.36 million shares of Viasat common stock valued at US$3.1 billion based on the closing price on Friday November 5, 2021, and the assumption of US$3.4 billion of net debt.

Mystery object appears next to Shijian-21 in geostationary orbit

The U.S. Space Force’s 18th Space Control Squadron (SPCS) has catalogued a new, somewhat mysterious object alongside China’s recently launched Shijian-21 satellite.

Three new remote sensing satellites launched by China

Rocket: Chang Zheng 2D; Payload: three Yaogan-35 satellites; Date: 6 November 2021, 0300 UTC; Launch site: Xichang Satellite Launch Center, China. The satellites were placed into approx. 492 km x 499 km x 35.00 degrees orbits.

Chang Zheng 6 lofts satellite for ‘sustained development’

Digantara, OrbAstro announce service agreement for space debris tracking mission

Digantara Research and Technologies Pvt. Ltd., a space situational awareness company, has signed a contract with Orbital Astronautics Ltd (OrbAstro), a satellite and in-orbit service provider, to fly its SCOT (Space-based space Climate and Object Tracker) payload onboard an ORB-6 satellite platform launching towards the end of 2022.
