NASA awards Rapid IV On-Ramp II contracts for spacecraft systems

NASA has awarded three contracts under the on-ramp feature of the Rapid Spacecraft Acquisition IV (Rapid IV) contract. These multi-agency contracts are available to support all NASA centres and other federal agencies.

ESA selects payloads for Ariane 6 first flight

ESA in close collaboration with ArianeGroup and Arianespace has selected payloads which best fit the profile of the first mission of its new generation Ariane 6 launch vehicle from Europe’s Spaceport in French Guiana.

RFA and Southern Launch sign agreement for launch facilities

Rocket Factory Augsburg AG (RFA) has partnered with Southern Launch, a South Australian rocket launch facility provider. The partnership allows for the German launcher RFA ONE to be launched from Southern Launch’s Whalers Way Orbital Launch Complex in South Australia. Southern Launch’s orbital complex provides direct ascent into Sun-synchronous and polar orbits.

Soyuz launches 34 more OneWeb satellites (part II)

OneWeb confirmed the successful deployment of 34 satellites by Arianespace from the Guiana Space Centre in Kourou, French Guiana. This launch, the company’s first in 2022 and 13th overall, brings OneWeb’s total in-orbit constellation to 428 satellites. It represents 66% of OneWeb’s planned 648 LEO satellite fleet.

Intelsat selecets Gilat’s New SkyEdge IV Platform for new satellite

Gilat Satellite Networks Ltd. announced that Intelsat completed a strategic selection process and placed a significant initial order for Gilat’s new SkyEdge IV platform, which will be used for its latest high throughput satellite, Intelsat IS-40e, designed to augment inflight connectivity and mobile backhaul services over North America.

Orbital Insight wins DoD contract to identify intentional GNSS disruptions

Spire, Exolaunch signed agreement to launch future Spire satellites

Spire Globa and Exolaunch have closed a new contract for a multi-launch agreement (MLA). Through this MLA, Spire gains fast and regular access to space for its own satellite constellation as well as for all of its customers to enhance Spire’s “space-as-a-service” offerings.
