Verizon and Project Kuiper team up to develop connectivity solutions

Verizon Communications Inc. and Project Kuiper, the low Earth orbit (LEO) satellite network from Amazon.com, Inc., announced a strategic collaboration to develop connectivity solutions for unserved and underserved communities.

AAC Clyde Space, Orbcomm, Saab to develop maritime communication service

AAC Clyde Space AB has entered a Memorandum of Understanding to co-operate with Orbcomm and Saab to develop the next generation of global maritime communication services based on a VHF Data Exchange System (VDES).

Airbus, Air Liquide and ispace Europe set up EURO2MOON

Airbus Defence and Space, Air Liquide and ispace Europe have announced the joint creation of EURO2MOON. This non-profit organisation will be dedicated to promoting a better use of lunar natural resources, while accelerating the cis-lunar economy and federating industrial efforts across Europe.

Replacement launched for first Japanese navsat

Rocket: H-2A; Payload: QZS 1R (Michibiki 1R); Date: 26 October 2021, 0219 UTC; Launch site: Tanegashima Space Center, Japan. The navigation satellite was deployed into a 235 km x 36,005 km x 31.93 degrees geosynchronous transfer orbit about 30 minutes after lift-off.

York Space to open new satellite manufacturing facility

York Space Systems, a Denver-based aerospace company specialising in manufacturing spacecraft platforms and delivering complete space mission solutions, announced that it has successfully accelerated its commercial production facility with a new initial production capability in the Denver Tech Center.

Study: Orbex Prime world’s most environmentally friendly space rocket

Russian reconnaissance satellites crashes back to Earth

Russia’s recently launched reconnaissance satellite Kosmos 2551 has re-entered Earth’s atmosphere and burned up in a fireball seen by many observers in the American Midwest.
