SpaceX helps billionaire spend three days in orbit

Rocket: Falcon 9; Payload: Crew Dragon (“Inspriation4”); Date: 16 September 2021, 0002 UTC; Launch site: Kennedy Space Center, Florida, USA. The crewed capsule was deployed into a 569 km x 580 km x 51.64 degrees orbit.

Spaceflight Inc. announces first lunar and GEO rideshare mission

Spaceflight Inc. announced a cislunar rideshare mission: “GEO Pathfinder.” As a secondary payload on board Intuitive Machines’ IM-2 South Pole Mission, Spaceflight will execute rideshare deployments in trans-lunar orbit, low-lunar orbit and beyond to geosynchronous equatorial orbit (GEO).

Soyuz lifts off with more OneWeb satellites (part II)

OneWeb confirmed its successful launch of 34 satellites by Arianespace from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan. This latest successful launch brings OneWeb’s total in-orbit constellation to 322 satellites, nearly half of OneWeb’s entire 648 LEO satellite fleet.

Spire Global to acquire exactEarth

Spire Global, Inc. announced that the companies have entered into a definitive arrangement agreement under which Spire will acquire exactEarth for approximately US$161.2 million (C$204.2 million) in cash and stock, which is approx. 9.1 times the company’s revenue over the last 12 months.

MDA awarded contract forJAXA’s Martian Moons Exploration mission

MDA Ltd. announced that it has been awarded the full contract from MELCO (Mitsubishi Electric Corporation) in Japan to provide a Laser Rangefinder (LRF) altimeter for the JAXA (Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency) MMX (Martian Moons eXploration) mission.

Soyuz lifts off with more OneWeb satellites (part I)

Rocket: Soyuz-2.1b/Fregat; Payload: 34 OneWeb satellites; Date: 14 September 2021, 1807 UTC; Launch site: Baikonur, Kazakhstan. The rocket lifted off as planned, and the satellites were to be deployed into a near-polar orbit at an altitude of 450 kilometers.

DoS India, Skyroot sign Memorandum of Understanding

India’s Department of Space has entered into a Framework MoU with M/s Skyroot Aerospace Pvt. Ltd., Hyderabad for access to ISRO facilities and expertise towards the development and testing of subsystems/systems of Space Launch Vehicles.
